President Mahama nominates three persons as DCEs

President John Dramani Mahama, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462), has nominated three people to serve as District Chief Executives (DCEs).

They are Mr. Basiera Saankara for the Wa West District Assembly; Mr. George Foahteye Agat Matey-Teye, Ada West District Assembly; and Mr. James Bakalatob, Kintampo for the South District Assembly.

Confirm new Nkwanta South DCE in 2-weeks – NDC youth

A statement signed by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda on Friday, requested the regional ministers of the aforementioned assemblies to facilitate the process of confirmation of the nominated DCEs.

“By copy of this letter, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission is requested to conduct their confirmation,” the statement said.
