University of Energy & Natural Resources’ first batch of graduates pass out

The first ever graduation of the University of Energy and Natural Resources has been held last Saturday at Fiapre in the Brong Ahafo Region.

About 160 graduands were awarded various degrees in the geosciences and agriculture technology after completing four years of studies.

President John Mahama who was the guest of honour charged the graduates to look for opportunities especially in the private sector as they go out.

He also advised them to be employers and not employees with a call on them to take full advantage of the knowledge acquired.

The university is one of the two institutions promised by the NDC prior to the 2008 elections, The other is the University of Allied and Health Sciences in Ho, Volta Region.

The University of Energy and Natural Resources inaugurated in 2012 by late President John Evans Atta Mills.
