Acid attack victim still pleading for justice after 2 years

A victim of a fatal acid attack, Joyce Frimpong, is still chasing after justice, nearly two years after her estranged husband poured the deadly liquid on her.

According to her, the Attorney’s Department has been lackadaisical with her case and appear uninterested in her plight.

Even though her husband, Yaw Frimpong Adarkwah, has been in custody since the attack, the AG’s department, she explains, has failed to press charges against him.

She suspects the docket on the matter has been misplaced by the prosecutors.

Speaking to Starr News Wilberforce Asare, the victim said she feels she is being denied access to justice.

“It’s been so long and now the judge says I should go and see the Attorney General. But I have been there on countless occasions and they acknowledge that the case is with them, but it has been so long and nothing has been heard. Now when I call them, they no longer pick up.

“All I want is for his family to pay me back the money I spent treating myself because that is all I had. And they must also help me take care of the three children we have together. Because of my current condition, I am unable to undertake difficult jobs but I have to do them because I need to cater for the children,” she lamented.
