Police patrol vehicle kills 3: Mob sets patrol car ablaze

A police patrol vehicle Thursday knocked down three people on a motor bike killing all of them instantly while injuring the police men on board at Nasuan, a community at the Bunkpurugu Yunyoo district in the Northern region.

Eye witness Hadaru who spoke to Kasapafmonline.com said angry youth of the town launched a mob attack on the Police and set the patrol vehicle ablaze at the scene.

Narrating the incident, Hadaru said the accident happened when a Police patrol car which was on top speed run into the motor riders who had parked on the side of the road upon seeing the patrol vehicle speeding.

According to him, the patrol team were returning to their station with a defiant motor rider who had earlier escaped arrest but got apprehended when the police traced him.

It’s not clear yet what caused the accident but Hadaru said the patrol car suddenly veered off the road killing the deceased motor riders who were parked on the side of the road.

Latest report also suggest that the arrested motor rider who sustained injury has also passed on at the hospital where he’d been admitted yesterday.
