Angry 140 BECE candidates attack headmaster

Over one hundred and forty aggrieved candidates taking part in the ongoing Basic Education and Certificate Examination (BECE) on Wednesday attacked their head teacher at Asante Bekwai in the Ashanti region.

The candidates were stopped from taking the ICT and French papers when it emerged that they had not been registered for the papers.

50 of the candidate are from Agyamasu M/JHS while the remaining 92 students are from Asante Bekwai APS JHS.

A supervisor who spoke to Starr News on condition of anonymity said the students became furious after they discovered that they had not been registered.

According to the supervisor, the headmaster of the school said he cannot be blamed but rather WAEC must be held responsible for the unfortunate incident.
