Grassroots to lead NPP campaign in N/R

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region this year will adopt the bottom /top approach to canvas for votes as the campaign season heats up.

The approach is to offer the grassroots the opportunity to lead the campaign process and to have a lead role in the entire exercise.

Addressing party faithful at a training workshop in Tamale, Northern Regional Chairman of the party Daniel Bugri Nabu said everybody in the party has a vital role to play especially at the constituency, polling station and electoral area levels in the organisation where the party will depend largely on the local people for the appropriate campaign messages instead of imposing on them what they think.

He said the indigenes know the terrain better and understand the dynamics of the area better to get the needed votes for the party.

Mr. Bugri Nabu said he was satisfied with the output of the people since their last training adding that additional training is an indication that the NPP is inching closer to winning the general elections in November.

He said it is the dream of Ghanaians that the NPP rescue them from the untold hardship metered onto them by the governing NDC.

Mr. Bugri Nabu warned that his party faithful not be complacent in the zeal to take over the governance of the country in November. He expressed satisfaction about the way the parliamentary candidates and their team were putting up their best.
