Buipe: Accident Kills Two

Two persons are feared dead and one critically injured in a violent car accident on the Tamale- Kintampo Highway on Friday night.

The crash reportedly happened at Damango junction near Yapei in the Central Gonja district of the Northern Region.

The accident involved a heavy loaded truck believed to be traveling to Burkina Faso with a registration number 11HL602 and a Mini Van with a registration number GN 6186-12

A crash report from an eye witness said both vehicles were traveling North when the Van run into the truck at a Police barrier near the popular junction.

The driver of the Van was said to have lost control when the truck made a sudden stop allegedly upon orders of Police officers

Ultimate news’ Eliasu Tanko reports that two out of the three occupants of the crashed van died instantly leaving one in serious condition.

They have since been ejected by personnel of the fire service and deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue
