Police hunts for spare parts dealer for stealing jewelleries

The Kwahu-Abetifi Police in the Eastern Region has mounted a man-hunt for the arrest of a spare parts dealer for stealing gold jewelleries worth millions of Cedis.

Kwaku Asare, 31, Kasapafonline.com learnt, stole the jewelleries from the Ayorkor Family of the Pepease Tradtional Stool which is under the Kwahuman Traditional Council.

The Abetifi Police Commander, ASP Kumah interacting with journalists over the matter last weekend said the suspect is a spare dealer at Abossey Okai in Accra and also an aid at the Pepease Palace.

According to him, Asare during one of his visits to the Palace broke into the room of Nana Abankwa Ansong, the Pepease Nkogusuafohene, and took away two gold bracelets, chains, necklaces among others somewhere in April this year.

A search for his arrest has since proved futile leaving them with no option than to appeal to the public for their assistance.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Asare, the Police Commander noted, should call 0244568525 or report to the nearest Police Station to cause his arrest.
