Assembly assists newly trained teachers

Begoro (E/R) Oct 10, GNA- Newly-trained teachers sponsored by the Fanteakwa District Assembly will receive monthly soft loans of 200,000 cedis until they are placed on their regular monthly salary. The District Chief Executive, Mr Ebenezer Ofoe Caesar, disclosed this at the assembly meeting at Begoro on Friday.

He said the assembly would like to assist the newly trained teachers to settle down financially to enhance teaching and learning in the district.

Mr Ceasar urged the Fanteakwa District Directorate of Education to compile and submit names of all the new teachers to the assembly for immediate action.

He said the first batch of 44 teacher trainees sponsored by the assembly completed their training this year and were to be posted to occupy vacant positions in basic schools in the district. Mr Ceasar said the second batch of 50 trainees would complete next year to increase the teacher population in the district.
