Gonja attacks: One more killed in reprisal attacks at Kafabar

One person has died in a feud between residents of Kalampor and Kafabar in the Gonja East district of the Northern region.

The clash is believed to be a reprisal after an indigene of Kabafar was killed in a gun attack on some football spectators Saturday night.

Irate residents of Kalampor believe the gunmen were sent to attack them while they were watching the champions league final between the two Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Sixteen people including children were also injured in the attacks.

They in turn, went on the offensive Sunday morning resulting in the death of one.

According to Starr News Eliasu Tank, there is no security presence in the volatile communities.

No arrest has yet been made.
