Agric director asks farmers to adopt scientific farming

Techiman (B/A), Oct. 10, GNA- The former District Director of Agriculture in the Techiman District Mr Kwaku Minka Fordjour, has asked farmers to embrace scientific and technology in agriculture to increase producation.

He said subsistence and primitive method of farming has outlived its usefulness.

Mr Fordjour who is on transfer to Kenyasi in the Brong Ahafo Region said this at a send-off party organized by the Techiman District Agricultural Development Unit in his honour.

He said the present age calls for improved scientific farming that would be able to meet the needs of mankind both in consumption and for agro businesses.

He expressed appreciation to all who made his tenure in the Techiman district successful.

Mr David Yaro, Techiman District Coordinating Director praised the outgoing Director and urged Civil Servants to diligently serve the people wherever they may find themselves.

The new Techiman Director of Agriculture, Mr John Manu, expressed the hope that stakeholders in Agriculture in the District would extend the same support to him.
