Fraudsters using my name for scams – Agyin-Asare

The General Overseer of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, has admonished the public to disregard anyone who sends messages to their phones asking them for money and other items using his name.

The founder of Perez Chapel International, formerly Word Miracle International Church, said it had come to his attention that some scammers were using his name to defraud unsuspecting people, hence cautioned such individuals to desist from the act.

In a statement released by the renowned pastor on Friday, May 27, he stated: “Precious one, it has come to my notice that some numbers including 0241775056 are sending messages to people asking them to sow seeds using my name. Bishop Charles Agyinasare has not asked anybody to send that kind of message. Do not send any mobile money; it is a fraud and a scam.”

The modus operandi of such fraudsters go beyond text messaging and mobile phone calls, as they have created fake accounts on various social media networks posing as respected men of God and extorting monies from unsuspecting victims.
