Ksi: Sofoline Police assault 25-year-old man

In yet another case of brutality against civilians by Security Personnel, 25 year old boy has been mercilessly beaten by officers stationed at the Sofoline Police Station in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The assault on the young man happened without any provocation.

Daniel Agragi in an interview said he lodged a complaint about his stolen items with the Sofoline Police Command, but soon after some police men came to him and started beating him with cane claiming he’s also a criminal.

He said his denial and plea for the policemen to stop beating fell on deaf ears as the law enforcement officers heartlessly beat him until onlookers came to his rescue.

Daniel Agragi stated that he later filed a complaint of assault with the Police Commander ASP Nakpin who asked him to go to the hospital for treatment, while the police commence investigations into the matter.
