A 9-year old boy only identified as Yaw has been physically abused by her biological mother Birago in Ahantamo near Akrodie in the Asunafo North Municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The heartless woman subjected his son to torture by burning his eye with fire for not keeping watch over her beans stew which was left on fire.
She accused the infant of defying her directive by allowing the stew to burn for which reason she meted out the inhumane treatment to him as punishment in order for him not to repeat such a conduct.
Neighbours who were shocked over the conduct of the Birago, have since reported the matter to the police in the area who have arrested her and launched investigations into the matter.
