Ejisu-Juaben assembly pays bill of patient

Kumasi, Oct 8, GNA- The Ejisu-Juaben District Assembly has presented one million cedis to Madam Angela Borborli who was detained at the Ho Government Hospital for two weeks for her inability to settle her hospital bill.

Mr Yaw Ahenkora Afrifa, the District Chief Executive, who made the presentation in Kumasi last Friday through the ‘Ghanaian Times’, said the money was from the district’s health insurance fund. He said the Ejisu-Juaben District Assembly was greatly touched by the plight of Madam Borborli.

He appealed to all districts to embrace the health scheme to be able to take care of eventualities like that of Madam Borborli. Mr Frank Otchere, Ashanti Regional Manager of New Times Corporation who received the money, thanked the assembly for the kind gesture.

He hoped the other institutions would emulate the assembly.
