KNUST Biochemistry students donate to department

Kumasi, Oct 7, GNA – The Ghana Biochemistry Students Association (GBSA) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated science materials and books to the Biochemistry Department of the University.

The items that valued at about two million cedis, included two hot plates, three burettes and two thermometers as well as a set of science books.

Presenting the equipment, Mr Kwaku Akoi Tete, president of GBSA, said the donation formed part of the Association’s week celebration. He said GBSA presented two computers to the Department last year and gave the promise that it would donate two more computers to the Department.

Mr Tete said facilities at the Department were limited citing that it had only 10 computers for 380 students.

Professor Pearl Victoria Dzogbefia and Dr William Otoo Ellis, both of the Department, received the items and praised the association for the gesture.
