Offinsomankuo gives to hospital

Nkenkaasu (Ash), Sept. 30, GNA – The Offinsomankuo in Accra has donated a 20-inch television set valued at two million cedis to the Nkenkaasu District Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region to improve the congenial atmosphere of the hospital.

The hospital serves a population of about 2,000 and the television is meant to entertain the patients.

Making the presentation, Colonel Joseph Appiah, Chairman of the Accra-Tema Branch of the Offinsomankuo said it was the first step, and that the Association had planned other programmes for others hospitals in the District.

Dr Philemon Ahiable, Resident Doctor of the Hospital, who received the television, expressed his gratitude to the Association and said it would be used for the purpose for which it was donated. Nana Yaa Pokuaa, Queen mother of Nkenkaasu, called on other stakeholders to assist to provide the basic needs of the hospital.
