NDC activists defect to NPP

Kuntanase (Ash), Sept. 30, GNA- Twenty-six activists of the National Democratic Congress (MDC), including a former Queenmother in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District have defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Daniel Asuo-Afram, the Bosomtwe constituency secretary of the NPP, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kuntanase on Saturday, that 25 of them were from Esipon-Eduaben, while Madam Akua Domfe, a staunch supporter of the NDC and a former Queenmother of Kuntanase in Ashanti. He said the defection of the 25 NDC members from Esipon-Eduaben was a manifestation of NPP’s good work and popularity in the rural areas. Mr Asuo-Afram said the constituency executives have intensified their sensitisation and education of the rural population to tolerate the views and behaviours of their political opponents.
