Surgeries suspended at Police Hosp. over power cut

A prolonged power cut at the Police Hospital in Accra has wreaked havoc at the facility as authorities there are turning away emergency cases.

The facility is also transferring planned surgeries and complicated cases to other hospitals in Accra.

The hospital has been without power since Friday morning and power plants are reportedly dysfunctional.

Starr News’ Kemini Amanor who visited the facility Friday evening reported that scores of worried patients are seen wondering at the premises while those already on admission are being frustrated by heat.
