Man, 26, defiles girl, 8

A 26-year-old tricycle rider, Takyi Emmanuel has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl at Aputuogya near Ejura, a farming community in the Ashanti region.

The suspect according to Abdul Malik Anokye lured the victim [name withheld] into his room and forcibly had sex with her.

Takyi Emmanuel reportedly asked the victim to buy him food and when the victim brought the food, asked her to send it into his room; but the suspect followed up to defile her.

The victim who Malik Anokye reported was bleeding from her private part rushed home and reported her ordeal to the mother; who later lodged an official complaint to the police and was issued with a police medical form.

The suspect, Malik Anokye added will soon be arraigned before court.
