Logba-Tota Borborbor Group in road crash

Fifteen members of Logba-Tota Borborbor Group sustained various degrees of injury when a Benz bus on which they were travelling to Dzodze for a funeral burst a tyre on the Ho-Fume Road.

The passengers, mostly women and children, were rushed to the Volta Regional Hospital for treatment.

An eyewitness told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the driver of the overloaded bus could not control the vehicle when it burst a back tyre, therefore, it landed on its side.

Mr Samuel Ewordey, the Ho-West District Chief Executive, who helped in conveying the injured to the Hospital said it was unbecoming for drivers to overload their vehicles and speed on that stretch, especially at weekends, for funerals and other social events.
