BNI chases producer over ‘terrorist’ movie

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) is hunting for a movie Producer over a movie titled “Terrorist”.

Information gathered by Starr News indicates that the Producer of the movie, Prince Chuks Ibezim, a Nigerian who is also the CEO of One Africa Entertainment is being chased by the BNI over suspicion that the contents of the movie may be a threat to national security.

The movie is scheduled to be launched on May 8, 2016, in Koforidua before it is finally premiered.

Sources say the BNI is seeking to interrogate the producer over rumors that the movie contains contents that are likely to initiate the youth into acts of terrorism.

It is not clear if the Ghana Censorship Board has given approval for the movie to be screened.

The Cinematograph Act -1961(Act 76) Section (6) of censorship of films states that “no person shall exhibit or present an exhibition of or allow to be presented or exhibited, any film unless the film has been passed under exhibition under section 7 of this Act.”

One African Entertainment has produced movies such as Future in Isakaba, Prince Amina and I Prince Experience.
