Mahama ends tour of the Brong Ahafo Region at Ammasu

President John Dramani Mahama ended his working tour of the Brong Ahafo Region late this afternoon at Ammasu where he addressed an asphyxiating crowd and their chiefs.

This unexpected address was one of the many such impromptu crowds that the president has been addressing ever since he began the Accounting to the People Tour in the Western region four weeks ago.

The president has so far visited four regions- Western, Eastern, Volta and Brong Ahafo. It is unclear which region is leading interms of the intensity of the crowds and excitement of the people including those standing by the roadside and waving.

During this tour President Mahama inaugurated two Community Day Schools at Derma and Abease as part of the 200-Community Day Schools Project, he inaugurated three chains of educational facility at the Secondary School level in Techiman and Nkoranza.

He also commissioned the HCIM complex at Sunyani Polytechnic to give impetus to his vision to convert Polytechnics to Technical Universities.

He inaugurated a road in Nkoranza, named after his wife Lordina Mahama and inspected several ongoing road projects, notable among them being the Sunyani ring roads, Gambia No. 2 to Kyreremasu road projects among others.

As part of the inauguration of the second Community Day School in the region, president Mahama also inaugurated an electrification project for the Chiefs and people of Abease.,

The president interacted with workers, students, ordinary people and Chiefs. He visited a limited registration Centre and encouraged them to play by the rules.

President Mahama heads to Central region next week for the fifth leg of his tour.
