Eastern Region: Collapsed market injures 12

Twelve traders are battling for their lives at the New Tafo Government Hospital in the Eastern Region after structures at a market in the area collapsed on them following a heavy rainstorm Wednesday, April 28.

Twelve of the partly completed market sheds caved in, forcing a number of traders to flee to safety.

The incident, which occurred at about 4:30pm, has created fear among traders, most of whom have deserted the market.

Some of the traders who spoke to Class News blamed the collapse of the market on the poor quality of materials used for the construction.
