KMA members to demonstrate against Mayor

Tension is currently mounting in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), as some angry Assembly Members have threatened to stage a demonstration against the Mayor, Kojo Bonsu tomorrow for what they claimed to be an autocratic style of leadership in the Assembly.

The aggrieved Assembly members, expressed their worries about the Mayor’s attitude and his failure to run his office efficiently making it difficult for the various assemblies to undertake various projects.

Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Kwabena Amoateng said the angry assembly members have accused the Mayor of delaying the process for the election of a presiding officer to chair their meetings.

They have hinted of locking up the offices of KMA until their concerns are addressed.
