One person was shot Monday April 25, during an armed robbery at the Kwamaman Rural Bank in the Ashanti Region.
The robbers, two in number, sped off immediately after the incident, taking away an undisclosed sum of money.
“Two people riding on a motorbike just passed by – one man and one woman. The woman was sitting at the back of the motor. They entered a bank and the woman started firing warning shots. In the course of firing, she shot one man leaving him in critical condition. They made away with an undisclosed amount of money from the bank and mobile phones from customers,” an eye witness narrated to Class News’ Naa Dedei Tettey.
He said the robbers had made their getaway by the time the police got there.
The victim, who was shot was sent to the Mampong Government Hospital for treatment.
