MoH to recruit bonded 2015 nurses, midwives

The Ministry of Health has directed all recruiting agencies under it to commence recruitment processes leading to the employment of all nurses and midwives, who have completed their training in 2015.

A statement from the Ministry said: “All nurses and midwives should acquire the recruitment forms at these agencies as soon as possible.”

“It is our hope that this will bring industrial harmony to the health sector,” the Ministry said.

The announcement comes on the back of numerous agitations and threats of demonstrations and picketing by different groups of nurses and midwives who complained that they have been home for as long as five years after completing their studies.
