Zanetor Kids’ Access Case Adjourned

A child access arbitration between Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings and Herbert Mensah, father of Zanetor’s two daughters – Zethe Maia Mensah, 7 and Rhia Lyza Mensah, 4, has been adjourned indefinitely.

The case, which is being heard at the family court in Accra, has dragged on for over six months due to the several adjournments, according to the court’s official sources.

The family court arbitration process was initiated in 2015 by lawyers for Zanetor-Rawlings after Herbert Mensah had filed a motion at the juvenile court in Accra on November 24, 2015 to have reasonable access to his two daughters.

According to the sources, Dr Zanetor-Rawlings had numerously either come to court late or was absent at the sittings without prior notice, leaving her lawyer, Sheila Premo, waiting for her on several occasions at the court premises while Mr. Mensah had constantly been present.

Although the former lovebirds have declined comments on the arbitration process, sources close to the two families revealed that the two children were recently given access to their father – Herbert Mensah – for the first time during the Easter break.

The children at the centre of the family controversy are most often seen in the company of their grandmother, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
