Adomi-Senchi police commended for self-help spirit

Adomi-Senchi (E/R), Sept. 19, GNA – The Eastern Regional Police Commander, Mr Vincent Dzakpatah, has commended the police at the Adomi-Senchi in the Asuogyaman district, for contributing 100,000 cedis each to renovate the local police station.

He said their effort was a manifestation of dedication and discipline, which the Police Administration expected from personnel to help uplift the image of the Ghana Police Service. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ASP) Mr Dzakpatah made the commendation on Friday, during a familiarisation tour of security installations in the area.

He also commended the police for providing telephone to enhance work at the Adomi-Senchi police station and asked them to maintain facilities there.

Mr Dzakpatah assured the police that efforts were been made to improve their working and living conditions.

The Akosombo District Police Commander, Mr Ebenezer Addo, who conducted Mr Dzakpatah round appealed to the authorities to renovate the building housing the personnel, which had been left to deteriorate since 1961.

Chief Superintendent of Police Adenyah of the Akosombo District Police, said the self-help spirit exhibited by the personnel underscored the teamwork among them, which he said, was worthy of emulation by others for high performance in the service.
