Help us re-establish Police Station – Kwapong Youth beg DCE

The NDC youth at Kwapong in the Asunafo South District of the Brong Ahafo region have called on the new District Chief Executive(DCE) for the area, Oppong Frimpong to use his influence as chairman of the District security Council (DISEC) to lobby for the re-establishment of the Kwapong police station.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command in August last year withdrew it’s personnel and closed down the Police station at Kwapong where a fetish priest suspected to have killed a resident was lynched while in Police custody.

An angry mob in the area attacked the Kwapong Police Station and destroyed properties in their attempt to release the fetish priest from the cell.
The town folks, after months of living without Police visibility in the area, recently made a passionate appeal to the newly appointed DCE, who happens to be the first ever native of Kwapong elected into that office to assist them bring back the defunct Police station which was closed down due to the mayhem.

In a press release to congratulate the DCE on his appointment, they admitted the increasing crime rate both in Kwapong and Sankore, pleading with him[DCE] to intervene so as to get personnel man the police station sited in the town.
