The incident, which took place Sunday night witnessed gunfire exchanges between two factions in a dispute during a funeral in the area.

Confirming the incident to Starr News’ Lambert Atsivor, ASP Twumasi Ankrah, said the deceased is a 56-year-old, Fabian Mensah Vidzro, who was shot in the neck.

Two other persons who sustained injuries, according to the commander, have been treated and discharged at the Anfoega Catholic Hospital.

He also revealed a third victim who is also a suspect in the clash is still on admission under police guard as investigations continue.

Starr News has learnt several empty cartridges of sophisticated weapons like AK 47 were retrieved from the scene, a situation which has heightened tension in the area, with the possibility of reprisal attacks.
