We need all thumbs to win November 7 polls – Akufo-Addo

Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged all eligible voters who for unknown reasons could not register in the previous registration exercise to vote in the previous elections, to take advantage of the opening of the limited voters’ register to do so.

Those who have attained 18 years and are yet to register were also encouraged to submit themselves to the process to enable them exercise their franchise in the November 7 polls.

The opposition leader addressing the people of Obo Kwaku at the 25th anniversary celebration of Obohene, Nana Yeboah Afari Oguagyan, Sunday, said the NPP will leave no stone unturned in amassing majority votes to win this years elections.

“We, he said “need all thumbs to win the elections”.

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana is billed to conduct the limited voters’ registration exercise in the last week of April this year.

The exercise which was initially planned to be executed in March, 2016, had to be postponed by the EC because of the absence of a legal backing document.

The Limited Voter Registration exercise is to enable new voters who have attained the age of 18 and above as well as those who qualify but were unable to register to do so.
