Expired drugs retrieved from drug stores in Elmina

Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has seized more than 100 different tablets of expired drugs in chemical and drugs stores in Elmina in the Central Region.

The managers and operators of these chemical shops and drugs stores have also been arrested by the police.

The exercise to clamp down the expired goods was conducted in collaboration with the municipal environmental and mental health office of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Assembly.

Speaking to Onua 95.1FM, the District Director of FDA, Mr. Opoku Nsiah explained that they will continue to clamp down on these culprits.
