NDC ‘skirt and blouse’ poster pops up in Suhum

A political banner, endorsing the candidature of the Member of Parliament for Suhum in the Eastern Region, Fred Opare Ansah as well as that of President John Dramani Mahama has popped up in the constituency.

It is not clear who is pushing such an agenda, but it is being speculated that some supporters of the former Suhum Municipal Chief Executive , Samuel Kwabi, may be behind the plot.

Mr Kwabi lost the NDC Parliamentary primary to the new MCE, Margaret Ansei, Aka Maloof.

The huge banner, which has been displayed on building, has the images of both the NPP MP and President John Mahama as well as the logos of the two major parties . The caption reads: “NDC skirt and blouse voters.

The major parties have so far not commented on the matter .

People voting for a presidential candidate and parliamentary candidate from another party is not new in the country’s political history. The difference now is the open endorsement for the opposing candidates.
