WR NHIA holds mid-quarter review meeting

Mrs Edna Gyau-Baffour, the acting Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Authority has said the Authority has rolled up a programme to register vulnerable children to improve their access to health care and quality lives.

She said the Authority would use children on the School Feeding Programme as the criterion for the registration in the Region, since such children were presumed to be disadvantage.

She said the exercise would begin from April 1, to May, 27 for the first phase of registration and second phase would be from May 30th to June 30th, 2016.

About 119,932 Kindergarten and Primary School children would be expected to benefit from the regional exercise.

The review meeting brought together districts and municipal directors of the Authority to brainstorm on the 12 performance indicators, give account of stewardship, re- strategize as well as inputs to shape the organization’s performance.
