BVR Kits registration exercise begins today

The upgraded Biometric Voters’ Registration kits (BVR kits) exercise will take off today Saturday 12th March from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in selected polling stations across the country.

The pilot registration exercise is to help the Electoral Commission (EC) test its upgraded kits in the limited voters’ registration and subsequent registration exercises.

Ghanaian citizens aged 18 years and above with sound mind are eligible to participate in the exercise.

Meanwhile some of the political parties have complained that public sensitisation was not enough, adding that lots of people are not aware of this important exercise.

According to them, looking at the crucial nature of the November general elections, the EC failed to embark on a vigorous education programme on this exercise to raise awareness.
