Yamin appointed deputy NADMO coordinator

President John Mahama has appointed former Deputy Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin as the Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).

He replaces the National Vice Chairperson of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party, Anita De-Soso who formerly occupied that office.

Yamin, a stalwart of the ruling NDC in the Ashanti region has been out of public office after he was sacked by President John Mahama in March 2015 as the Deputy regional Minister.

In an interview with Kasapa News, Joseph Yamin stated that though he was yet to assume office, he remained poised to ensure good disaster management practices in the country which will make Ghanaians safer.

“I haven’t started and I don’t know what specific role will be assigned to me. But I’m ready to contribute my quota to making Ghana a better place to live in”.
