#SoNa: Mahama, MPs behaved like football fans – Prof. Adei

Renowned Educationist, Professor Steven Adei has slammed President Mahama and Members of Parliaments for their behaviour during last week’s State of the Nation Address, describing their conduct as that of football fans.

The former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) is not happy with the way both the President and Parliamentarians threw salvos at one another and heckled the President while he gave the annual address.

He made the declaration in a telephone interview with Kaakyire Ofori Ayim, host of Atinka FM’s morning show dubbed, A.M Drive.

He further opined that President Mahama’s last Thursday address also failed to reflect the real state of the nation.

The address, which is delivered annually, is in accordance with Article 67 of the country’s constitution which states: “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation.”
