“Y’ani abre” demo to hit Accra on March 7

Members of pressure group Concerned Ghanaians have served notice of demonstrating on Monday, March 7 over “high utilities and fuel prices, high unemployment”.

“We shall also take the opportunity to commune with one another as we seek to build on our peace and unity against the backdrop of this year being an election year.”

In a letter of notice to the police and sighted by tv3network.com, Concerned Ghanaians says the demonstration dubbed ‘Y’ani Abre Demo’ will start at the Obra Spot near the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra and end up at the Hearts’ Park.
About 5000 people are expected to join the demonstration.

A meeting is also expected to be held between the group and the police to iron out the route of the march.
