There is no perfect gov´t anywhere – Minister

Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, has said there is no perfect government anywhere around the world.

“There is no perfect government anywhere including the Obama government; even in the US today, there is a huge debate on the constitutional jurisprudence of America,” Mr Iddrisu said.

He expressed sadness as a student of constitutional law that the US with its over 200 years of democratic history would still be in a dilemma and quagmire as to whether President Obama has the power to appoint a Supreme Court Judge or not.

Mr Iddrisu was addressing Development Communication Students Association (DEVCOSA) of Wa Campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS) over the weekend.

The Tamale South Member of Parliament (MP) appealed to the people to avoid the attitude of running down their governments by making derogative remarks at the least opportunity whether outside or within the country or on any media platform.

That practice only contributed to painting a bad image of the country and nothing else and all must endeavour to put a stop to it.
