‘Abongo not fit to be Minister’ – HR Expert

A Former Human Resource Director of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and a Management Consultant, Mr. Tahir Mahmud says he will be surprised if Mr. Albert Abongo is cleared and declared fit for his new ministerial portfolio.

The Upper East Regional Minister-designate on Monday morning had challenges responding to some questions on skipped information on his Curriculum Vitae (CV) submitted to the vetting committee for assessment.

Apparently overwhelmed by the barrage of questions, he sought refuge in the fact that the pen drive in which he had the important information inputted into his CV got corrupted thereby losing track of the exact details.

But speaking to Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni, Mr. Tahir Mahmud noted that gaps in a public official’s CV indicate the person intends deceiving the public.

“If you are aware you are appearing for an interview, you have to update your CV before making an appearance. Failure to do so means the applicant is being insincere,” he observed

Mr. Tahir, therefore, admonished the vetting committee to drop Mr. Abongo with or without an updated CV.

“If it is me, I will not give him the job. I will rather give it to another person”, he added.
