The Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Suame constituency, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has indicated that there had been previous attempts to kill Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.

The MP was murdered at his Shiashie residence on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, by persons yet to be identified by the police.

But speaking to Accra News on Tuesday, the Minority Leader said the deceased had had close shaves with death in the past.

He expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family and asked Ghanaians to pray for them.

The opposition NPP MP died of multiple stab wounds on Tuesday dawn.
