Agona-Osafo Marfo road to see rehabilitation

Mr. Kwabena Nkansah Asare, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Birim Central Municipal Assembly, has cut the sod for the start of the rehabilitation of the Agona-Osafo Marfo Road at Akim Oda Old Town.

He said the project had been contracted to Synbeck Ghana Limited at GH?452,000.00 to be completed in six months.

He urged community members to cooperate with the workers for the effective undertaking of their job since kiosks and other structures would have to be removed from the road sides.

Oberempon Gyamfi Safo-Kyere II, the Krontihene of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, appealed to the contractor to engage the services of the youth of the surrounding towns on the project.

Mr. Stephen Bekoe, the Chief Executive Officer of Synbeck Ghana Limited, gave the assurance to employ the labour of people in the neighbourhood of the project.
