Mahama joins Okuapeman to mourn Oseadeeyo

President John Mahama has joined the people of Okuapeman to mourn late paramount chief Oseadeeyo Addo Dankwa III.

As part of the funeral ceremony, the Akuapem Traditional Area has asked all mourners to strictly wear red or black at the funeral ground.

Class News’ Eastern regional correspondent, McAnthony Dagyenga, reported Friday that the durbar ground has been packed to the brim with mourners including traditional leaders from across the country, as well as political leaders.

Police personnel have been deployed to the funeral grounds to maintain law and order.
Dagyenga reported that a joint police and military team could be seen from the Mamfe roundabout to Akropong, where the funeral is taking place.

Businessmen and women have also taken advantage of the swell in population to conduct business, which, according to Class News’ reporter, is booming.

The formal weeklong funeral ceremony began on Monday February 1 and will end on February 8, 2016.
