Alhaji Limuna takes office as Agric Minister

Outgoing Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Mohammed Muniru-Limuna on Wednesday February 3, 2016, resumed duty in his official position as the Minister of Food and Agriculture in Accra.

The Minister succeeds the ministry from the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ketu South Constituency Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, who has been reassigned to the Transport Ministry following the sudden resignation of Madam Dzifa Attivor over the infamous Smarty bus branding scandal.

In his brief but thought-provoking remarks, the new Agriculture Minister asserted his resolve to operate an open and transparent office and that, he was instantly inspired by the formidable nature of the team presented to him.

He called on all staff at the ministry to freely bring forth their ideas to fasten the pace of achieving a turnaround within the sector.

Alhaji Limuna signaled his determination to treat every member of team fairly, for a successful reign.
