Death reports in the twin city over the weekend

Two people drowned while one died in an accident over the weekend in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region.

The deceased, Nana Osei, 18, drowned in Whindo River on Saturday while another gentleman in his mid-thirties was washed ashore at Ekuase beach, near Sekondi on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Efua Ackon, a woman in her mid-forties died shortly on arrival at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital on Sunday after being involved in an accident.

The deceased, who was a pillion rider on a motorbike, was knocked down by a vehicle at Sekondi.

The bodies of the deceased had been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police sources confirmed the deaths to the Ghana News Agency, on Monday saying investigations are ongoing.
