Bishop Palmer-Buckle ordains five priests

Koforidua, Aug. 23, GNA- The Catholic Bishop of Koforidua, the Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle, on Saturday ordained five priests with a call on them to help build the Church as a family of God.

The priests included Rev. Father Ebenezer Kenneth Abban, Rev. Father Joseph Afum Attah Asumadu, Rev. Father Foster Kwaku Asiamah, Rev. Father John Gabriel Owusu-Frempong and Rev Father Bright Kennedy Agyepong.

The ordination brings to 31 the number of priests ordained in the diocese since its creation ten years ago.

Preaching the sermon, Bishop Palmer-Buckle called on the new priests to “emulate Jesus by leading lives of love, obedience and humility to attract more young ones into religion”.

He asked the people to assist the priests with prayers and material support to enable them to perform their work well.

Present were the Minister of Interior and MP for New Juaben North, Mr Hackman Owusu Agyeman, the New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, Nana Adjei Boateng, the Queenmother of Koforidua, Nana Yaa Daani and religious leaders from other churches.
