Cape Coast South Sub-Metro elects Council Chairman

Mr Joel Eshun, a 31 year old administrator has been elected as the Chairman of the Cape Coast South Sub-metro District Council.

Mr Eshun, an assembly member for Amanful East electoral area, who works at the office of the Cape Coast North Member of Parliament’s office, was unanimously elected by the 30-member assembly on Tuesday.

Mr Eshun thanked the assembly for the confidence repose in him and promised to mobilize all irrespective of their political leanings to work together for the development of the township.

He said the job ahead of him was enormous considering the jurisdiction of the area stretching from the Bakaano to Ntsin, Kotokuraba, Tantri, Amanful and Abom, Master Sam area through to Siwdo; and pledged to work to the best of his ability facilitate the development of the area.

The new elected Sub-metro Chairman asked members of the assembly to participate in all the activities of the assembly to bring about the needed development to the people.

Mr Gilbert Nuuri-Teg, the Metropolitan Coordinating Director, presiding member of the Cape Coast Metro Assembly, Mr Samuel Atta Mensah and other heads of department graced the occasion.
