Justice Dery, Ayisi Addo file suit against CJ, AG et al

Embattled High Court judges Paul Uuter Dery and Gilbert Ayisi Addo have sued the Judicial Council and others for seeking to cut their wages and withholding all allowances of the two.

The two judges were cited among 12 high court judges seen in an exposé by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on the biggest scandal that hit Ghana’s judiciary last year.

The judicial council last week evoking the sanctions meant for the two after investigations on the scandal, directed that their salaries be slashed by half and also deny them of all allowances.

However, a suit brought against the council by the high court judges prayed the court to stay the implementation of the decision against them.
