Tarkwa Lorry Park rehabilitated

Tarkwa (W/R), Aug 20, GNA- The rehabilitated Tarkwa main lorry park, estimated at 1.4 billion cedis, was on Tuesday handed over to the Wassa West District Assembly at Tarkwa.

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development undertook the rehabilitation work under the Urban Five project.

Presenting the keys, Mr George Opare Badu, Managing Director of Intertropical Consortium, contractors of the project, called on Ghanaians to practice the culture of maintenance.

He said without it, “projects cannot last and millions of cedis would be wasted.”

Mr Kofi Amoa-Darkwa, the District Coordinating Director, received the keys and appealed to the GPRTU to ensure that cleanliness and orderliness prevail at the station.
